Leadership in a New Era
January 9-21, 2009

See the Inauguration Photos!

Leadership in a New EraThe United States will inaugurate a new president in January, 2009. This progra.m. will explore the leadership issues that confront both his Administration and the United States Government at that time. From foreign affairs to the economy to race relations to understanding between and a.m.ong religious faiths, the US will be challenged to respond in new and creative ways in the 21st Century. Can a new President manage these challenges? How is the newly elected government organizing for taking over the reigns of power? Are you personally ready to meet the leadership demands that a changing world will require?

TLeadership in a New Erahe Progra.m.

“Leadership in a New Era” will bring participants from all over the world to Washington, DC to investigate the dyna.m.ics of a leadership transition in Washington. We will visit business, media, religious, and other cultural leaders to see how they are preparing for the future. We will bring in leadership trainers to give you insights to your own skills and leadership habits, and we will engage in vigorous discussions about alternative policies to confront the nation’s most intractable problems such as energy, health, Middle East Peace, the rise of competitors, social security, terrorism, and more.

Highlights

  • Lectures and discussions at Johns Hopkins Schools of Advanced International Studies
  • Visits and presentations at principal U.S. Government agencies, Congress, and foreign embassies
