Invitational Model UN

Welcome to the Invitational Model UN (IMUN) in Washington, DC at the Homewood Suites by Hilton and at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. The IMUN is a high school conference designed for high school students from around the world  (all sessions conducted in English). The conference will feature a keynote address by Ambassador Sally Shelton-Colby, former Deputy Secretary General of the OECD and former USAID Global Issues Director, a Security Council crisis simulation, three other large committees, and international participation.

IMUN 2009 housing will be arranged with the Homewood Suites by Hilton in Downtown Washington, DC. Overlooking Massachusetts avenue five blocks from the White House, the eight-story Homewood Suites by Hilton Washington D.C., offers apartment-style living in the heart of Washington, D.C. National landmarks and famous attractions, such as the White House and Smithsonian Institute, are within walking distance and the McPherson Square Metro station is three blocks away, providing access to the entire metropolitan area. From Ronald Reagan National Airport, guests can take a shuttle van, taxi or the Metro Blue Line for the four-mile trip to the hotel. Accommodations feature suites with separate living and sleeping quarters, a full kitchen, two televisions, and high-speed internet access.

Housing at Homewood Suites will be arranged for you by Osgood Center staff. The deadline for arranging a hotel room as well as making full payment is July 21, 2009.

The Osgood Center has gathered an experienced staff. The Director General is Mike Aguilar, the Security Council Crisis Director is Kristy Mordhorst, and the Secretary General is Shelton Williams, President of the Osgood Center and ex officio board member of the National Collegiate Conference Association. Gaya Manukyan, the Osgood Center's Vice President of Program Development, is Chief of Staff and principal contact for IMUN.
