January 15-22, 2008

See the 2008 Event Photos

The United States is becoming a more open and diverse society. Social trends from changing demographics to technology to international politics make new and flexible leadership a national priority.  Where will these leaders come from? How will they be trained? What values will guide them? What challenges will they face? The International Leadership Conference (ILC) in Washington, DC, January 15-22, 2008, will bring students together with politicians, businesspersons, technology specialists and diplomats to address all these questions and more.

The ILC will feature:

  • A keynote speaker (to be named)
  • Visits to Congress, the State Department, the World Bank and leading Think tanks
  • Mentor Workshops with women working in the Government, Defense Industry, Higher Education, Consulting and Human Rights organizations
  • Training sessions on the nature of leadership, personal values, and community service
  • A diverse class from around the world
